Today the pitchmen for men’s grooming products are either supermodels, superheroes or super into themselves. Instead Wahl, the world’s leading manufacturer of hair clippers and other men’s grooming tools, is opting for super real. For its latest campaign, Wahl turned the cameras on the LumberKings, a minor league baseball team from Clinton, Iowa, to capture documentary-style video for a TV commercial and long-form web videos. Wahl’s campaign demonstrates how real, everyday guys living the American dream get ready every day. The documentary-style campaign promotes Wahl’s Lithium Ion grooming tools and how they provide the endurance and power guys need, even for life on the road and in the locker room. The campaign also celebrates American values, something Wahl, an International company that still manufactures products in Sterling, Illinois, has in common with the team representing America’s pastime in America’s Heartland.
